My interpretation of home consisted of a love-hate relationship. In other words, bittersweet.

At times I find comfort in my home, whereas other times I would do anything to get away from it.

In my painting, the hate part of the relationship is highlighted more than the love part. It depicts the ‘breaking point’ and how sometimes your home can make you feel unsure or unstable.

The black line is the ‘stable’ part of the piece, whereas the yellow square represents ‘instability’ because it is on the brink of falling.
